April 28, 2008

USD 373 hosted a community groundbreaking ceremony at Northridge Elementary School on April 28, 2008. The new 8700 sq. ft. addition will add six classrooms, along with bathrooms and storage space to the school. The Northridge addition is the first of six planned school expansion and remodeling projects, and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2008.

Representatives from the Newton Chamber of Commerce, the Cities of Newton and North Newton, the USD 373 Board of Education, and district staff along with Northridge students turned over dirt at the site of the Northridge school addition during a groundbreaking ceremony on April 28, 2008.
