Physical Education News
We
are excited about a new school year and hope your child is also. Hopefully, your
family has stayed active this summer and everyone is doing well.
Instead of having Health in the classroom for only two weeks, we want to
incorporate health issues into our curriculum throughout the year. The
program is called Radical Wellness. Your child will be getting worksheets
weekly which they keep in a three-ring binder and hand them in every Wednesday.
Letters and a rule sheet, explaining all this, will be going home with your
child. Please read over these carefully and feel free to call if you have
questions about anything. The rule sheet needs to be signed
and brought back for extra credit.

Art News
Greetings from the Art Room,
During the semester your student will be creating artwork in two and three dimensions, learning about art throughout history and discovering ways to talk about art with the class. This year 8th grade students have the opportunity to take art all year long. With this privilege comes responsibility. Year long students will be required to complete a drawing assignment each week as homework. Drawings will be due each Friday.
