PURPOSE OF PROGRAM – The purpose is to provide a nurturing and educational program for preschoolers age 3-5 in a home environment.

DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM – Will be licensed as a group day care home, as it is located in a home, rather than a facility.  Will offer a pre-school like program.

Daily program will include:

• Circle time (Books, Songs, related to letter of the week; calendar time.)
• Centers (Art projects, games, coloring, playdough, free play, etc.)
• Snack time
• Outdoor play
• Closing circle time (Daily review, weekly show and tell, also related to letter of the week, when possible.

Social skills will also be taught in a gentle manner.

SCHEDULE OF SERVICE DELIVERY – Our preschool year begins in September (after Labor Day) and concludes in May (before Memorial Day).  Our attendance days will follow the USD 373 attendance calendar.

LEAD TEACHER:  

Sheralyn Goering, has 25+ years experience with children and families, including child care centers, pre-school, former Harvey County Child Care licensing surveyor, social work.  Has certificate in Early Childhood Development and Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.
