report given as PTO is in need of a Treasurer for this year. |
|
|
Secretary’s Minutes |
Jonni offered copies of the
Sept. minutes to those who were interested.
Gina Entz moved and Maureen Entz seconded that the minutes be approved
as presented. |

|
Principal’s Report |
There
is money left in a fund at the Board Office to supplement playground
purchases. It was money that was not
used last year. Edna
would be willing to help with a student directory if that is something we are
interested in pursuing. Confirm
dates for Pickles/Pencils/Popcorn(PPP) 10/17 and 11/21 and 12/5 and 12/19. Reminder
that Carol Goering will need to be reimbursed for purchasing items for
outside landscaping up to $150. This
had been approved in the spring. Playground
Equipment—on the North Side by the Creek.
The new equipment will be in the location close to where the other
piece was removed. Heather Koehn
suggested swings. |
More investigation of
playground equipment will happen.
Games like hopscotch will be painted on the side walk in the fenced in
area. |

Old Business |
Fall Fund-raiser update. Diana
reported that 2 years ago, $19900 was sold; 1 year ago $12600 was sold and it
was a 50 % profit; this year $15059 was sold with it being a 40%
fundraiser. The number of participants
was also lower. Some donations were
also received which means we raised approx. $6000. 25 Students earned the limo ride to McDonalds. PPP money needs to be
withdrawn from the checking account to celebrate the goal that was set in
raising money for playground equipment.
The last PPP took in $97.81.
Mrs. Goering has 3 students helping out on Fridays with this project. Papa John’s. Mrs Robb and Mrs Lowen’s class had the most
orders called in. They will get a
pizza party. There was a brief
discussion about the drinks to go with the pizza and it was decided that milk
or water would be just fine, if Papa John’s was no longer providing pop. Slate Creek received a check for $120. There are a few Sonic Cards
for $2 each if any one is interested. |
Volunteers will be needed
to pack and help hand out orders on the afternoon of 10/28. Reminder notes will be sent
home since the product needs to stay frozen until consumed. Diana will send a note home
to let everyone know when the PPP and Papa John dates are. |

that month. |

|
Family Read night/chili A sign up sheet to bring
items and to work was passed around. There was some discussion
about asking for a donation vs. actually charging for each person at the
chili supper. |
Mr. N will purchase inserts
for the large cookers to add in the chili preparation. Finalize details on the
Monday night before the event. |
|
New Business: |

used Book Sale to correspond with the event would be a good idea. Children will bring used books to school

night. |
