The Mission of the Slate Creek Elementary Library Media Center is to provide instruction, services, and resources that promote information, technology, and reading literacy skills necessary for life-long learning.

Got books?

Our library has over 10,867 books in its collection. First grade through fifth grade are scheduled for visits twice a week, and Kindergarten classes are  scheduled for visits three times a week.  Our media center also has an automated check-out system and online catalogs for students and staff to use.

Students checkout materials once a week.  Chapter books are loaned for 2 weeks.  Picture and nonfiction books are loaned for 1 week.  K-1 students are allowed to check out 2 books per check out day.  2-5 students are allowed to checkout 3 books per check out day.  Students may checkout more materials for classroom assignments and projects.
