The Treasurer’s Report was read by Renee Hamm. The current balance is

$3339.39. Gift cards were purchased from Wal-Mart ($50 to classroom teachers,

$25 to other staff). Renee reported that by using the debit card at least once a

month will avoid a $12 service fee.

“Goodies With Grandparents” is Friday, Sept. 11, from 7:15 to 8:00 AM. Rachel

Buller will order juice and donuts and Stacey Musser will pick up donuts and

deliver to school.

The upcoming fundraiser kickoff will be Oct 1st. Shana Schmidt will be in charge

of this, along with JT Enterprises. (This fundraiser consists of selling cookie

dough and other food items and will run thru Oct. 12.)

It was decided that each grade level will receive $300 to spend toward field trips

throughout the year.

T-shirt sales, “walk/ride your bike to school day” and the “mitten drive” were

briefly discussed and will be discussed further in the next meeting.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are Sept. 22nd and 24th. Book Fair sign-up sheets

were passed around for volunteers willing to work. Teachers will again choose a

book for each student as a Christmas gift from Booster Club. We will contact

Jackie Pulaski regarding wrapping the books with the help of Youthville students.

Angie Long will contact Robyn Roberson regarding meals available for staff on

both conference nights.

Volunteers are needed to organize the 4th grade talent show and 5th grade

musical at the end of the year. Melissa Meyer and Rachel Buller will take care of

decorations.

Karen Ahrens volunteered to represent Sunset at a district wide meeting once a

month. Gail Unruh-Weber offered to help out when needed.

Box Tops coupons were discussed. Janet will provide information in the next

newsletter.

Child care will again be offered during meetings provided by a local Girl Scout

Troop. Booster Club meetings will be held the third Thursday of every month at

7:00 PM, unless otherwise noted: Oct. 20, Nov. 17, Dec. 15, Jan. 19, Feb. 16,

Mar. 9, Apr. 20, and May 4.
