Pilgrims, Native Americans and Us
On Thanksgiving, we always seem to hear about Pilgrims and the Native Americans. What would it be like to be a Pilgrim? Where would you go? How would you travel? How did the Native Americans live? What did they enjoy?
How were Pilgrim and Native American children's lives like yours? How were they different? This activity will help you find out!

Task 1
Use the links to complete the Worksheet* about Pilgrims, Native Americans and Themselves.
*Print in Landscape format to fit the worksheet on one page
Task 2
Complete a Venn diagram showing how your life and the Pilgrim's life are the same or different or how your life and the Native American's life are the same or different.
Venn Diagrams
Save the Pilgrims & Me Inspiration file to your folder . Open the file and fill in the Venn Diagram. You may need to start Inspiration first before opening the file.
Make sure your name(s) is in the name box and print out when finished.
When you are finished, save and then open the Native Americans & Me file. Complete the Venn Diagram, put your name(s) in the name box and print out.
Task 3
Write a letter inviting either a Pilgrim or a Native American to visit you at your house. You will need to tell them at least three of the differences between their life and yours. Be sure to include details. You should also include some interesting facts and any questions you may have for them.
